Mad Moto Q owner is on a distinguished road
Default I'm mad.

So today, my cousin finally got her new phone (Sprint Touch), and she figured she might as well toss the old phone (Moto Q) to her cousin who wasn't to fond of his, which is...me.

Before this, she had the phone since around late August of last year. She never experienced any problems or any weird "I'm going to stay on Sprint then never come back on again" moments.

This morning she gives me the phone, I switch the number to my number so now the phone is on my booty plan which I think isn't covered by any insurance.

Throughout the first five hours, phone is working fine. Nice features, all of that. Then I go to charge my phone which was on the low battery and boom...goes off and after struggling and doing some research on this board, I've come to the conclusion that this phone is dead as hell.

Does anyone know why my cousin had it for a year w/no problems and I had it for ...alot less than that w/ a big problem.

is this normal to happen so long after the product has been purchased?

Also...do I have any chance of Sprint just replacing the phone...or just paying 50 dollars or something? Or am I just SOL out here?

have you tried charging the phone? if the battery died, it may take half an hour or so to build up enough charge to turn the phone on again.

These phones like to stay charged. I keep mine on a charger when at my desk at work or when I'm home watching TV. Let your phone charge for at least 3 hours or so. If it still doesn't come on, try getting another battery. Could be that battery has low life and finally gave up the ghost.

Yeah...I had it on the charger when I went to sleep. I got nothing.

I think it may be the battery is out totally and I'll have to try a new one. Does this always work though?

No...not always, but, it is the cheaper method before shelling $$ for another phone.

i know it sounds dumb and maybe more likely not to happen, but you might want to check the outlet is not a switch outlet. (Guilty )

you just can't decided to put insurance on the phone at any given time. you have 15-30 days after the purchase of the phone to put insurance on it.
