Default I hope Sprint and Motorola burn to the ground

I've had a Q for about 4 months. I sorta liked it, until it stopped working (that bootloader issue). Once that happened, I took it into the Sprint store and had them take a look. They informed me that I'd have to deal with Motorola, which is endlessly frustrating. I didn't buy the phone from Moto, it came as part of my Sprint service plan (which I wouldn't have even signed up for if it hadn't been for the Q). Several hours on the phone with Sprint customer service, and they still wouldn't budget. Very odd, given past history with Sprint and phone replacements.

I just got disconnected from Motorola customer support... again. I've spent the last three hours going 'round with them, described the problem about 700 times, and have gotten precisely nowhere. Between people who can't speak/understand English and dropped calls (over a land line, no less), I don't feel like I'm going to be able to get anywhere with them.

Wtf am I supposed to do now? My Sprint service is currently useless, I can't get my phone fixed/replaced, gah.

Well the new MOL3 is supposed to fix that bootloader issue so you might try downloading that and trying to see if you can succesfully update your phone since it is in a condition to recieve the new software.

I can't believe though that Sprint wouldn't just swap that thing right out if you've only had it 4 months. MG, what kind of crappy customer service is that????

sprint handles warranties differently. motorola is the actual issuer of the warranty, so the regular 1 year warranty goes through them. sprint has a service and repair program that allows you to get it fixed/swap it out in store at no cost. it runs $4/month, extends the warranty and goes well beyond what the manufacturer will cover. basically, as long as its not lost or wet your covered.
