Default how many of us are there? does this site have a poll option?

i really like the phone. really. so given how many failures have been discussed on this board, and the huge numbers of views of the message threads about flash boot death, how many of us are there?

did i miss some announcement of a major fix?

so please, register for this site and register your failed device.

maybe we can doooo something.

What a nice thought; however my Sprint Q is working just fine, even better than when I bought it April07 so I decline to register.

:har-har-har: Oh, I'm just kidding!

Yes. That is a good idea and I am sure that rudeboy (an oxymoron if ever there was) would be the peson to ask/know. So, yes; count me as 1 with a working Q.

My first Q bricked to that screen after an all-night pdanet session. I presume that the battery ran low enough to cause the problem.

I will submit that the initial sign of trouble was when I restarted the phone; after the Sprint splash the screen went white and was filled with red horizontal lines, like it had been banged or something. My third Q had the same horizontal-lines-on-reboot issue once and another reboot fixed it - of course I immediately plugged it into the wall for charging.

Best regards,
.

I had the same problem but mine was during work hours. Everything was great and since my Q was connected to my laptop I figure everything would be charged and all of a sudden my phone and the acid trip. $35 to replace it and still waiting after 3 days for my replacement. How can Sprint offer a phone-as-a-modem plan when the phones can't handle it? I've tried the same thing with my Treo 755p and that gets very hot and it freezes after a couple of hours.
