Thanks. I just tried that and it wasn't successful. I attempted option #2, but when I go to "restore" it asks for a PCS service code, which I don't have. Anyone have this info?

I just updated my vision profile, and now when I go into settings, I can't get beyond option D. When I press "MORE" - it just takes me back to A. Anyone know how to fix this??

i have the same problem not getting internet working on mine. the only time it did work was when it was tethered via USB to a computer connected to the net.

ended up calling tech support twice. first time, went through all the various options. updating vision profile, soft resetting, playing with ##'s. the guy told me that the phone was probably screwy, so i got an exchange from a nearby sprint store. they told me to wait at least 4 hours after activation -- no luck. talked to a second tech support guy, went through the same basic hoops with some variation. the guy shipped me a phone since i am travelling and there are no sprint stores nearby. received the phone, activated the phone earlier today. no luck.

i get the Ev icon, i've updated with the moto update software, i've done the update vision profile, i've done hard resets by power+button and by system tools. i've done countless soft resets.

not sure what else to do at this point except to look at the blackberrys..? anyone got any suggestions?

did you go to the IE window hit the right soft key (menu) the options..then connections and make sure the 'automatically detect settings button' was checked?
and below that on mine the box that says 'select network' is blank

hope it helps

Well, the good news is that it now works! But, it wasn't your solution (I actually saw that in another post as a possible solution and tried that as well).

I tried one last call to customer support. Figured I should call before I just send everything back and go to bed in tears .. and the guy solved it on his first attempt. The solution is unique (I've never seen it posted before), so here it is:

We went into the PCS Vision programming and checked my user-id and password under username. He said my AAA password was "too long." Apparently, when I had set up my @sprintpcs.com account eons ago, I had used a password string around 10 or 12 characters which the Q sucked in. It never was a problem before because I had just gone with 'just-use-a-phone-as-a-phone' mentality and never had any data plans. He shortened it to what appears to be a relatively random hash of and now it works! I'm truly amazed -- first that it actually works, second that the other two CS guys didn't check it on my previous attempts.
