Push in the thumbwheel and max out the volume, that should do it.

I know it will work, on your homescreen, press in and hold the thumbwheel. this will bring up a screen with volume you can change. Put that to maximum and then put Windows Media Player to maximum. That will fix it for you.

Your right it does work. I tried it both ways.

from the HS, I lowered the volume and the WMP was ALMOST silent when turned all the way up to 100%.

Then went back to the HS and did what you said again and turned the volume back up all the way, and then played WMP and it was fine at 100% loud and clear.

Glad to hear it! Hopefully you didn't swap your first 3 Q's for having this problem.....

Thanks Dude-I was having the same problem and was about to return it to store for a pelacement-still in 30 day trial w/Verizon. have you had any experience with The Core Personal Media Player (aka TCPMP)? It was recommended by Verizon rep as a definate must have to get around WMP for watching DVD's and playing MP3's

Wow. That is awesome. I know of at least 2 people who have paid for repair services from carriers to have this problem fixed. All they had to do was utilize the scroll wheel. Thanks for the great insight.
