Default compare TV content in different plans?

I just changed to Sprint yesterday and got the Ultimate Pack plan which includes TV Premier. There wasn't much info on the material I had to go by and I was hoping it would include some local programming but it doesn't seem to. Oh well. It does have CNN more-or-less-live (noticeable but slight lag), though, so that's good.

The less expensive Express Pack's TV feature also mentions including CNN -- is that the same live content, or is it just little recorded squibs like the continuous loops you'd see on the TV in an airport terminal?

Ideally I'd want to see local TV live. If that's not going to happen, is CNN the closest I'll get to that and will I have to stay on the Ultimate Pack to see it?

(I'll say this, though - one reason I went with the Q9c is that I'm thinking VERY hard about getting a Slingbox. )

I don't know if there is another CNN channel somewhere in the listings, but I only have the most basic channels included with my SERO plan, and CNN Mobile Live is one of them. What channel is your CNN? Mine is on channel 1.

I got my Slingbox tuner for about $125 and it gives me 70 or so analog channels. Great quality as long as your EVDO. You'd also need Slingplayer mobile for $30. Slingplayer for your PC or laptop is free and is usable anywhere with an internet connection

Is your $129 Slingbox the original, the Classic? I don't have any HD devices or cable box or anything like that, so all I need is something that can connect to the coax that comes out the wall. The only one I found that has that very basic feature is the Slingbox Pro ($229), but I was positive I'd heard that the Classic had a coax hookup too. True?

A store near me said yesterday they have "the first" Slingbox for $129, so I'm hoping that's the Classic and that it has the coax hookup.

Does that sound like your setup?

thats the classic (older)...newer one is called A/V. This has no coax..But has component and s-video. Many ways to get around the coax deal and the classic is told to be not as worthy as the A/V! Both are 130 or less. Check out slingbox.com for all your curiousness's!

Mine was called Slingbox tuner which followed the classic and was basically the same as it had a coax input and built in tuner.

They now are marketing the solo which doesn't appear to have a tuner.
