Hello, I'm a truck driver using Sprint Q. I cover all continental 48 states moving through multiple time zones.
My home time is set for central and on Auto, but it will not AUTO change zones as I travel like my past lower-teck phones. Is there a method to fix this? Thanks in advance
Thats a network thing.
When I flew to CA from NJ it automatically updated the time. Then again the phone was off. What happens if you reboot the phone every few hrs?
@ Tony, I just updated PC Vision, rebooted to no avail. At the moment I'm in Indianapolis,In's eastern time zone. Phone still reflects central time zone.
Do you know of another setting besides Settings/alarm and clock?
Try this out i just got it sent to me but haven't had chance to put it on yet.
Daylight Savings Time PDA Software Updates
What is it:Daylight Savings Time software updates needed for select PDA devices.
Effective: Immediately
Details:Under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 passed by the United States Congress, Daylight Saving Time (DST) will change back to standard time on November 4, 2007, instead of October 29th as originally scheduled. The majority of Sprint’s PDAs sold in 2007 include the new DST settings. However, Sprint PDA customers with the former DST settings will notice a 1 hour time difference until the device software is updated, the device time is manually changed, or until November 4th when the time changes back to standard time. After updated DST software is installed, future DST time changes will be corrected.
Additional links allow customers to download the updates wirelessly from their devices’ web browsers: ·Windows Mobile OS: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/
Note: download file to device, find file, and click to install. ·Palm OS: http://palmone.r3h.net/downloads.palm.com/DSTUpdater.prc
Note: save file to Applications, go to Applications, and open file to install. ·BlackBerry OS: www.blackberry.com/dst2007 to download the appropriate patch automatically or go to Options-Date/Time and manually change time.
Hope this helps during my lunch i am going to load it up.

Evixor
this is not what he is looking for
if you look at the title of the thread....NOT DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME
Thanks folks for your responses. However, I contacted Motorola and was told that there is no fix for my issue.
I still love the Q, I guess you have to give up a few minor things to move forward.
