Anyone Else Thinking Of Upgrading To Samsung Instinct

The instinct is nice if you're a basic phone user. Pretty much a media oriented phone. Target Audience is for teens though. I must add the antenna sux. So if you're a texter and not a talker you should be fine.

I prefer my Q. If there is something the Q doesnt do out of the box you can download an app to make it happen.

Dont buy an instinct expecting a pda. Its just a phone with a pretty screen and some basic user friendly features.

If you dont mind getting less reception and want a phone thats basic and fun go with the instinct. If you want your device to be customizable and work for you stay with your Q.

And everyone is right. The Instinct is not an "Upgrade" from a Q.

uh..i dont think thats a upgrade.
your going from a pda smartphone to just a regular phone with almost full web capable.
it dont do more then what a Q does.
instint is a nice phone if your 16 .
i ddint like it one bit.
its just user friendly and they still have alot of update to do on the instint

I call it an UPGRADE. I had my Moto Q (the original) for a year and I been on EQ for the same amount of time fixing all the problems that came with the phone and trying to find programs that phone should of came with in the first place. I love that I can add third party programs. But My Q had crash on me a billion times. Actually its my second Q because the first one got the black screen error. Text messages come in slow. My keyboard is all messed up and I barely let this phone drop. Don't get me wrong when i first got the phone it was great but now its useless.
But tomorrow I'm getting my instinct.

Im waiting to see if the HTC Touch Pro comes to sprint. Thats a slick phone. I like the slider keyboard and full touchscreen. Q screen a bit small nowadays. I have the original Q never had any major problems that a battery pull wouldnt fix. I think we see alot of people coming here and complaining about how bad the Q is cause this is the place people come for answers. If your phone is working fine and your just an average user you probably wont come here. I came here to trick out my phone and it still runs like a dream. Since this about the instinct all I will say is if it had a slide out keyboard for those of us with caveman hands I would definetly test drive it. Actually I did try one and same problem as the IPhone. When I would type I would fat finger pretty bad unless using finger nails then it was awkward to type. Gotta have the little keypad nubbies for me so I know Im on the letter I want.

I believe that the touch pro is supposed to come to sprint. Don't know when though.
