The instinct is nice if you're a basic phone user. Pretty much a media oriented phone. Target Audience is for teens though. I must add the antenna sux. So if you're a texter and not a talker you should be fine.
I prefer my Q. If there is something the Q doesnt do out of the box you can download an app to make it happen.
Dont buy an instinct expecting a pda. Its just a phone with a pretty screen and some basic user friendly features.
If you dont mind getting less reception and want a phone thats basic and fun go with the instinct. If you want your device to be customizable and work for you stay with your Q.
And everyone is right. The Instinct is not an "Upgrade" from a Q.
