Almost-New Sprint Q for sale

A friend of mine is upgrading to the 6800 and is selling his Q. He's only had it a couple of months and doesn't exhibit any of the "shutoff" issues some Q's have. He's asked me to post the following:

Up for sale is a pristine Sprint Q. This phone is in perfect working order and looks like it was just taken out of its box. I am asking $255 shipped + 1/2 applicable paypal fees. I am looking for a quick sale so I am willing to consider any serious (non-lowball) offers.

Seriously? I've been a Verizon subscriber for the past five years... doesn't make complete sense, but I'll ask the owner about that. Can anyone else confirm/deny Colombia's statement?

I don't know if that's specific to sprint or not, but I know that I have had 1 Q on different plans with different providers (but I am in Canada)

well i gave my grandma a phone and she wanted to activated it but they said once the hex was activatd on another line it couldn't be activated on any other line.

you can sell it...once you put a new phone on your line it will release the esn. then the phone can be put on someone elses account...

This is not try. You can activate a phone as many times as you want. The warranty though is void. You can however add insurance when you activate it through Sprint. Which I would recommend doing.

I work for RadioShack so I would know this. As long as the phone is not attached to an account or a hotlined account you are fine to buy it and activate it.

wont even void the warranty, its one year from the date of purchase and fully transferrable

If you buy a phone privately there is no warranty unless bought from a dealer or sprint store.

His copy of the receipt means nothing because it is not in your name/account.
