AIM do I have to pay?

Someone told me to download agile messenger,, but after the 7 day trial,, you have to pay. Is there anything I can use that I dont have to pay since AIM is free anyway on reg. computers.

i belive No its free. I have a free AOL account and i downloaded it as well as some of their other "mobil" links

to get a free AOL email you just sign up at www.aol.com the way you get it free is if you contect to the net using anything other than dialup...you have fees for dial up and with the FREE accounts you get no "help"

( i am not the greatest with all this high tech stuff so if the link doesnt work just go to the AOL home page and scoll all the way to the bottom where it says in blue letters AOL MOBIL)

where on there did you actually download the AIM file? if you put in the Q it shows that it isn't available.

you know what maybe i have it checked on my laptop that i want it sent to my phone...and thats how i get it.. I am sorry. Like i said i am not the best with all the high tech stuff

no I havent found free AIM yet. Im using the IM+ now

I should have done more research before getting the Q I really wanted to be able to use AIM messenger.

I think the person saying they got it on their phone was referring to AOL Email?

regarding the software you would need for the Q to do instant messaging, there is Octro: http://www.octro.com/ which from what i understand is free but not everybody likes it. Agile is no longer free i believe. then there is IM+ which i don't know much about and recently Mundu came out with a fairly cheap messenger program called MunduIM: http://messenger.mundu.com/
