Wireless Sync Firewall issue - Looking for help Hi all,
First time poster, I've had my Q for about a week and it's been working great but I have run into one nasty issue. Also great forum which has provided me answers to many issues already but I have one nagging issue.
I'm trying to use wireless sync to push email and calendar entries from my lotus notes server. Long story short, after several discussions with Verizon is that I have a firewall port block issue.
My sync request going to Verizon on port 80 go out fine, but when they try to send data back they are using port 3102. My wan security guys have confirmed that they are blocking port 3102 and have no problem opening it up to a specific IP or block of IP's or a Subnet coming from Verizon.
Sooo I go back to Verizon and ask what IP the data is coming back from or range of IP's or the subnet. They confirm that it is a server cluster but are unwilling to provide me the IP range, Verizon's statement is that this is confidential information and they will not provide the details. My WAN guys respond to Verizon that they will not open port 3102 to the world and just need to know the subnet that verizon is using and they will open it up to them specifically.
My question is before I put my WAN guys through the effort of trying to figure out where the data is coming from. Does anyone know the IP range of the Server cluster Verizon uses for the Wireless Sync application?
Thanks in advance. |
