Default Windows Live...

tried it a long while ago... worked but interfered with something i forgot, anyway i un-installed via Remove Programs and assumed (i know) it was gone... last 2 weeks i installed 2 apps that still will list Windows Live as an email account, did some searching in the registry but nothing.. SKTools runs nightly and also appears to not see/clean it..

anyway any idea (no Master Reset obviously)

(ps. it's not hurting anything but i just am a hairsplitter like that..)

Annoying when you try to delete a program and it just leaves "crap" all over the place. Especially coming from M$, they would never do that! (sarcasm)
Can you use your reg editor and do a search for Windows Live residue?
Make a Sprite backup, of course, first. Anything can happen.
Or do a search in File Manager and see if you can find any "loose ends" through there?

Dang! Isn't that a definition of a virus? Did you check to see if there was any windows live folders in program files, device and card (if you have one and used it).
*called onto the carpet for not clarifying an answer*
(I deserved it, I know that!)
LOL

HaHaHAHa, yes it does emulate a virus!!..LMFAO...

I haven't located anything that seems to be from the Windows Live I had before, just that those links showed up right after I tried WindowsLive after I read from some they liked it better than Google Maps..

Maybe someone else has the same happening to them?>
Links keep re-inserting itself into PIE's Favorites??

@ rb, sorry! just re-read your post & you did use the reg editor. I might be taking the "dunce cap" seriously.
@MBK2:
Open windows explorer through your start menu or the windows key-"flag key"> E. Drill down to C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Favorites\Mobile Favorites and delete the links that you don't want from there. While you are there you might as well back up your favorites on your computer to a removable storage, IE: flash drive, floppy, external HD.
Right click> Send To or right click copy and paste to where you want it. It's just a text file & isn't big at all.
Is this what you were asking?
Dang, my brain isn't working this weekend. *sigh*
Hope that helps you.
Now hopefully someone can help rb b/c I don't know what to do there.
How do you get rid of "crap ware'' on the phone?

MBK...windows live is not a browser and for sure does not insert internet links! Sounds like you had live search...

@TreeFrog,
I think you may be correct, I think I did install Live Search as well and then deleted it all.

@Geekster,
Sounds like you're talking of accessing PIE favorites thru Active Sync? Or perhaps you're referring to WM6?
I don't have anything you mention on my Q1.

It's OK, I knew you were thinking of something else. Thought I would try to help you anyway.
Talking about your PC. To stop AS from syncing links to your phone. You delete the links from your PC with those instructions. If I want a link out of fav's then that's what I have to do so it won't sync back onto phone.
Should I edit that to say PC?

LOL... I think your post that you just made will let others know you were referring to the PC and AS. I have Active Sync, but don't sync it with my Q, just use it for installs and Q File Manager access.
