What ever happened to Xbox Live Mobile? - Motorola Q Forum

Back in early 2006 there were lots of announcement's about Microsoft's "Live Anywhere" service that would combine Vista PCs and Mobile Phones running Windows Mobile with the same Xbox Live community on the 360.

Well, it's here as it now works with Vista players playing Shadowrun, but I can't find anything current about the mobile application.

Is there a way to install Live on my Q or did this just end up getting dropped at some point?

Microsoft has quietly brushed a few things under the rug that I guess they just don't feel are worth the time. Remember hearing about XBox Live Rewards? Whatever happened to that? There was also supposed to be another program setup where the higher your Gamerscore, the more of a discount you'd get off certain purchased on XBL.

I remember when they said they would do that.....we should have got it in writing!

I remember seeing the nice little demo with Forza 2 and the Motorola Q. I wanted to do that so bad. I have been waiting for the updates for all of this. I am sure they have bigger things to work on right now.

They are more working on getting Cross-Platform gaming together with Halo 2 and Shadowrun. I have yet to even see being able to play Uno with Vista and XBOX 360. I am sure when that becomes available then the Mobile stuff will become available as well. All of the mobile software is still in Beta right now.
