You will have to have it running in the task manager for it to work. Hope this helps... |

More specifically, I believe they're only the single-line text entry fields (not the multi-line fields, like E-mail entry areas or HTML TextAreas).
Second, you can't copy text from non-edit fields, which includes Web pages (unless you're in an entry field).
CopyPaste is great for what it does, but it's not a general copy/paste utility (and I don't know of one on the Smartphone platform at all). If you want true copy/paste functionality, you need a Pocket PC Phone (which allows selecting text with the stylus).

| yeah, to copy text from an email, you have to hit reply so the "flashing curser" is present. So anywhere you have that curser, you can copy all or part of any text! |

I thought CopyPaste only worked in single-line fields (and was sure that I had tested that in the past!), but I just tried it in an E-mail, a contact's Notes field and a Web form and it worked fine. Maybe something got changed in the last release and I never tried it because it hadn't worked in the past.
So using the text entry cursor as a clue to where it will work is a good suggestion. (However, it won't work in Word Mobile -- at least on Windows Mobile 5.)

thanks to all who chimed in. | ya know, I've been having trouble with it. Lately when I hit the center button it performs a "Return", then brings up the vito menu. So in a multiple lines (like email) it drops the rest of that line down. And in address bars, well it performs action. Haven't tried to find out why yet. Except I get the same deal whether Qcaps is on or off. But sometimes it does work....
Oh, it does mess with alot of games I have. The ones that use the action button. Same deal with Qcaps though, but Qcaps is easy to turn off. So I've been keeping Vito off till I need it.
I'm starting to think more and more about the theory of what order "hooking" apps are installed. I'll try that HookMgr this week...... |

| @ TreeFrog: you know that when you create a shortcut in the Start Menu you can click it to activate and de-activate, when clicked it will tell you the status.

I think I have too many hooking apps..The .ini is supposed to be customizable to a point, but nothing is helping there. You can change the hook, but all I can tell is it turns it off! Sweet! I did find a Vito Tweak (pre-released version copy/paste) that might live happier!! Let ya know.
Good thing messing with this stuff is fun!! |
