| Vito Ringtone Editor Help Please Ok, I've searched and read for over an hour. I am on day 2 of a 14 day trial with Vito Ringtone Editor. I have made a few ringtones and want to be able to use them. I saved all the ringtones and assigned one of them as default. Only the one assigned as default appears in my sounds folder.
...So I moved all the ringtones from where Vito put them in my documents folder to my applications>Sounds folder. I still cant find the ringtones when I go into settings>sounds. I've rebooted, synced, and done all but pull out my hair. What am I doing wrong? I've searched this and can't find the answer I need. Or maybe I'm blind ~ or stupid.
By the way, I have a Q9h. Is Vito Ringtone Editor compatible with the Q9h? Just wanted to ask that and get it out of the way as a reason for failure.
Please someone, help me. I made some great 'Ironman' Ringtones and I want to use them! ARGH!

| And you are putting the ringtones in the "Application Data" on your phone and not your storage card? That is weird, it should be working... |

| I actually have them on my storage card, but just in the "root", not in any folders. I tried putting them in a folder called "ringtones" to differentiate between the full song, but that didn't work. I just rename them from Vito...Try that.
EDIT: I just went and made another ringtone using Vito. I left it exactly where Vito put it, "My Documents".
Then, I went to: start/settings/sounds and there it was... Try leaving it where Vito puts it and see if that works.

| Everything I have done and everything I have saved to has been in my main warning, not my storage card; & spent lots of time on this last night, reading, searching and making sure I did it right, at least the best I knew how; I just don,t understand.

| You have to check the "Tags" If the tags are blank you may not see them. |

| I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by tags.

jb0615 | I just installed Vito, went through all the steps. Moved the file to my storage card and it showed up in the sound menu. if you can get the original file on your pc. right click on it and go to tags. see they are filled in. if not fill them in. artist and title. you can also download Wav Pad on your PC and do it on your computer. might be eisier. |

| Thank you, Dafoxs, Sherri and Tech-erella for your suggestions. I'm sorry to say, however, that nothing works. I've tried everything you have suggested and more....
BTW, sorry about asking what 'tags' were. I wasn't thinking in that mode, but I guess I should have been, seeing as how I just got done adding over 20gb of music to my Creative Zen! So, yes, I checked tags and added those, and it still didn't help.
All I can say is that Vito Ringtone Editor is acting very wonky on my Q9h.
- Does it make any difference that I am only using the 14 day trial version and have not bought the software? Does that limit what I can do with the ringtones? I ask because each time I try to save ringtones, it will randomly select 2 or 3, save those, and ignore the rest I try to add.
- Is there some memory restriction with my Q9h where I cannot have over a certain amount of ringtones stored? Do I have to delete some of what I have pre-installed with my Q9h before I add any more?
- Does Ringtone Editor have to be installed to main memory? Actually I've tried installing it in main memory and also on my storage card, and it makes no difference, still doesn't work right.
- Is the software really compatible with my Q9h?
The long and short of it is, I've tried numerous times to create ring tones and get them into my sounds. Randomly, one or two will save, but the rest I try will not save at all. I have kept the ringtones where Vito buts them, in my documents folder, and it doesn't work. I have moved them to my applications folder, it doesn't work. I have moved them to my applications . sounds folder, doesn't work. I have moved them to various other locations and to my storage card, doesn't work. I have added all the tags you can possibly add, doesn't work. I have run the software on my device and also on my storage card, doesn't work. I have done everything except blow up my Q with an M80.
I'm hoping there is someone here that has had 'some' of the same issues and can give me some guidance. I have a Q9h. Prior to downloading the trial, I was going to purchase and the Vito site redirected me to Handango. Well, Handango said that Vito wasn't compatible with my device. Could that be the problem? Is it maybe not compatible with the Q9h??
All that said, I'm ready to go to 3Gupload, Mixxer, or whatever they call themselves now and buy some rightones. I've about had it.

| Hi. I really don't know if Vito is the issue or not, but I couldn't get it to work with my Q9h either. That said, I tried it before I did the ringtone size limit hack, so it may well work now. You do know there's a file size limitation on the Q9h, right?
