I found this on another forum somewhere. Direct copy/paste as I had the text in email. I didn't write it up but it works for me. I can get about 6 movies on a 2GB card.

What you need:
For the Q:
--A memory Chip 512MB+ (this is pushing it, but you need at least 512MB. 1-2GB would better)
--The Core Pocket Media Player http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/download
For Windows Users:
--DVD Decrypter http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/
--PocketDivxEncoder http://divx.ppccool.com/
WARNING *This is for education purposes only. Use DVD Decrypter at you own risk. I assume no responsibility for
anyones misuse of the software.* The only reason I give a warning is because DVD Decrypter removes RCE/RCC protection
and allows DVD's to be copied. But if you own the DVD, NEVERMIND! Now with that out of the way let's begin and have
fun.
I am an advanced computer user and I make my living doing computer work. If anything that I explain to anybody is unclear or to technical, please email me. However, if you are a newbie and do not know anything about Divx or encoding, or even ripping, please try to figure it out before you contact me. I can be contacted at adamusyman@gmail.com.
Let's Begin:
1. Pick a DVD and insert it in the drive. Simple right?
2. Download, install and run DVD Decrypter **Please note that DVD Decrypter may ask you to select your region code,
please select the region you are in!**
3. There are a few settings that we need to change in order for this to work properly also make sure you have about
10-11GB's free on your hard drive. You may not use all this space, but DVD's can contain up to 10GB and the file output size will be from 200-800MB.
--Click Tools, then Settings. Click the File Mode tab. Where it says file splitting, change this to 'None'. Click the ISO Read Mode tab and where that says File Splitting also change this to 'None'. Now click Cancel and we are done with this part.
4. Click on Mode on the toolbar and select IFO. A checkmark will appear next to it.
5. In the right-hand pane, click the Stream Processing tab and check Enable Stream Processing.
6.(This step may be optional) If you have not already done so, select the drive on the left-hand pane that the DVD is in. On the right-hand pane click the stream processing tab again, and check the enable stream processing.
7. The software automatically find the movie for you. What you need to check now is the Video, Audio, and Subtitles you want. If you choose subtitles, you cannot turn them on or off. If you pick more then one language, you will have more then one file. What I do personally is select the video and my language. If you see more then one of the same language use 2/ch. If you have a 6/ch the file may be bigger. Let's be honest we don't need 5.1 surround
sound on a phone. Sometimes you will have no choice but to pick 6/ch audio, but don't worry that is fine too.
8. Press the button that looks like a DVD with an Arrow and a Hard Drive.
This process can take 15-45min depending on your computer speed. What is happening at this point is the software is putting the movie on your hard drive with the language and subtitles that you selected. If you have made it to this point, I commend you on a job well done.
9. Once that has finished you can close DVD Decrypter and open PocketDivxEncoder.
10. Select PocketPC, the reason we select PocketPC and not Smartphone is because the image is better.
11. In section 1 find the folder that DVD Decrypter made. It defaults to the root of C:\. It names the folder the same label as the DVD. (i.e. Big_Lebowski would be c:\Big_Lebowski. Inside that folder you will find a file that look like this VTS_01. This is the file you want to choose.
12. Im sectiom 2 you can select where you want to save the file to as well as name it whatever you want.
13. Click Encode Now.
14. At this point it will take some time to encode but when you are done you will have a perfectly encoded file, that is at a very small size.
15. When the encoding is done, you may erase the original file that DVD Decrypter made it is a VOB file.
16. Transfer the file to your device.
That's It! I hope it works for you and you can enjoy movies. It may take some practice but in the end it is worth it!
One last thing, there is a bug in the Core Pocket Media Player that makes the screen do weird thing when exited. Simply shut off your phone and it resolves the issue.
