Using Aventgo - Motorola Q Forum

I tried to install this program, but keep getting error messages. Is anyone using this program on their Q? I used it on my Palm but cannot get it installed on my Q.

I use it all the time. Be sure to use the Smartphone Beta version

Works for me as well (AvantGo) on my Q and I spent a few minutes yesterday cleaning up my profile and subscribing to new channels.

You might want to google for any specific error messages that you're getting.

Well on the Avantgo site, I found the answer to my problem. They say that at times there is a conflict with ActiveSync that would cause the "unsuccessfull" error message. Followed their suggestion turned it off, then installed the program.

I am pleased to report that I am back in action again on Avantgo.

I have been trying to install AvanGo on my Black Q for the past couple of days and I'm getting the same "unsuccessful" error message and can't get it to install on my Q.

But I don't understand what you did to make it work. How do you get it installed on your Q with ActiveSync turned off?

I contacted their Support. They had me turn off my Active Sync and then run the setup. After that I turned the Active Sync back on.
