Default tired of flexmail, is there anything better?

I've had it with flexmail. Software seems to be created by people who never use email. They have no page up/down button and it has a serious problem loading emails. I have 1,000+ emails in the inbox and it'll take a full minute to open the inbox. 1,000 might sound like alot but i remember a time not too long ago running pentium 120mhz pcs with 16 megs ram and having no problems displaying thousands of emails on eudora so why a 312mhz Q can't display email is beyond me. Also 120mhz palm's have problem with Versamail.

so I'm tired of flexmail, any good alternatives?

posted from Q, sorry for any mistakes

I read the message. You asked for my opinion on your book. Unfortunately when I replied the system stated you can not recieve private mail messages. I thought the story was good. The story flowed. Meaning it did not jump around and in that way, loose a persons interest. The plot was good you never wavered from your plan or idea. I have to agree with you on how you feel regarding this book. Believe in yourself. Just as a side note remember the story of Star Wars was shot down umteen times before it was actually accepted as a work of art. Now a days Im sure the people that laughed at it wish they had pennies of the what the actual story grossed and still grosses. Hope this helps.

Thats funny..had it 2 days and agree. I was just starting to search to see what "uninstall" route to go. ActiveStink Remove or Flexmails Uninstall? What do ya think!!

PushEffect fixed my Hotmail deal, so I am happy there!!

Alternatives..also looking, will report also!

I'm not familiar with pusheffect, what does it do? I just subscribed to izymail to access hotmail on the Q and so far it's been great, attachments download and I now have every email on my hotmail downloaded to the Q running Flexmail.

i tried the built-in outlook again. Wow does it suck! No page up/down either and not even a search function! Very few options too, seems like it was made for a very simple flip phone with a slow cpu & little ram rather than be a truely portable outlook

Any email that is capable of sending an SMS alert that you just received mail is intercepted by PushEffect, downloads it and alerts you. Also instantly sends mail instead of hitting send/receive. Really cool actually. Fixed my Hotmails anyway. Wont work with the freebie AOL or Yahoos. Does a new mail pop-up screen too, if ya want. Includes the outlook also, so not sure yet if I like the popups! Its not a mail program like Flex, just a middleman.

Looked around for a Flex replacement..already deleted it. Nothing jumps out. Maybe Birdsoft will develop one, I REALLY like his stuff.

Let me know, I'll do the same.

I like/use profimail
http://www.lonelycatgames.com/?app=profimail

It's a nice, clean, email app. There are some features it's lacking (push and some others), but if you don't use any of that, it's a great app.

the more use flexmail the more i hate it.

search doesn't really work. Waited a minute for it to search thru 2,000 emails before stopping. No progress bar, no idea when it would finish, no results. Versamail on a Palm would have started displaying results within seconds.

Flexmail feels more like a unfinished beta than a $30 program. No excuse for that, there are plenty of other email apps to use as examples.

profimail looks perfect! Demo ended way too soon though, downloaded a few emails and stopped, but so far it's much better than flexmail. I like that it tells me how many kb it's downloaded so I know it's still progressing, doesn't just "hang" on a particular email with "downloading 22 of 120" displayed. Is there a way to search with profimail? I didn't see a search feature anywhere.

hope they do a "free app friday" with Profimail! I'd like to try it a bit more before I decide to purchase.

No, just limits the number or megabytes you can download.

I'm not going to buy it. Didn't get to really try it much with the demo and there's no search function.
