Wondering if it's possible to turn CandleLight on and off? Do you run it like any other app.? Or is it a permanent setting?

On the original Q, it can be turned on/off.

First click dims screen/second one brings it back...

Once you download the .cab file, it puts a shortcut labled "candlelight" on the phone. When you click on the shortcut, the screen dims. You can then go to other applications, with a dimmer screen. For example, I read this forum at night, and in order to not wake my hubby with the light from the phone, I use candlelight on the dim screen.

If I want it brighter, I go back to the menu, scroll to "candlelight" icon, and click it. Bright screen is back!

Voila! This app shows up in the "remove app" area, so if it needs to be removed, it can be...

I like it quite a bit No loading time, flip on, flip off. My battery thanks you too.

I still don't think I can get 2+ days of battery life though. I need to adjust how often different programs update etc. though.

You could also set a speed dial number for it for easy on/off.
