Default Teashark browser

Just saw this over at WMExperts - Teashark, a java based browser like Opera Mini.

http://teashark.com/index.html

Looks interesting. About to give it a whirl . . .

Try this link (it's from the post at WMExperts):

http://teashark.com:8080/wml/

I used this from my Q and was able to download it, and then Jbed installed it.

It was a .jad file, I believe. Let me try again and see.

Edit: Actually, it was a .jar file

Just gave it a try, and here are some initial thoughts:

It's java based, so you need JBed or other JVM to run it (I'm running it on JBed);

It allows desktop browsing (i.e., desktop versions of webpages);

Like Opera Mini, it has a zooming function (2 levels of zoom actually) [here are some pics from EQ:

(zoomed in view of "New Posts" page)

(post from thread (pictures are viewable) - no zoom view)

(same thread - medium zoom view)

(same thread - full zoom view);

It appears to allow for tabbed browsing (though I did not try this out my first go 'round);

NOt to bad. The text seems a little blurry, not has crisp as IE or Opera. A big annoyance is the prgram constantly asks it it can access the network. Not to bad if they could sharpen the content
