So I downloaded a bunch of .mkv files from Vuze and wanted to play them on my Q. I installed TCPMP a few times, but none of the versions worked until I came across Scott's, here:
http://www.scottschrob.com/Q/tcpmp.s...ne.0.72RC1.cab
After that, I tried playing the .mkv files, and they still didn't work despite the fact that most websites claimed TCPMP could support .mkv, which is why I installed it in the first place.
I then realized the problem might be that I still needed plug-ins, so I installed all the plug-ins from here:
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ , and additionally this one here:
http://www.rarewares.org/files/aac/t...obile.0.66.zip
So all in all, I have AAC, FFMPEG, FLAC, Speex, Vorbis, Wavpack, and AC3 codecs, but lo and behold, none of the .mkv's work. For one I get audio but no video (and still an error message) but for all others I still get this message: Player:\Storage Card\filename.mkv Unknown file format!
I was wondering if anyone else had any experience playing Matroska (.mkv) files and could help me with getting them to work on my Q. Additionally, if anyone else has some standard .mkv files they KNOW work on their Q w/ TCPMP and my plugins, please send it to me so I can test whether my TCPMP is messed up or the .mkv files I downloaded require random additional plugins. Additionally, if there is a way to convert .mkv to .avi in a simple manner, that would also be appreciated as an alternative solution.
Thanks for the help!
