Default TCPMP Settings Question

I'm using TCPMP on my Q to watch movies. If I am watching say a two hour movie on my Q, I know how to set the advanced setting to keep the screen lit and watch the movie without it going out by unchecking the "no backlight keep alive for video box". By doing this it also keeps the entire keypad lit for the enitre movie as well. Is there a setting or work around where I can keep just the screen lit and have the keypad fade out like normal. Trying to save some battery and didnt know if it's possible. Another reason for this is I had to return a Q a few months back for burning out 5 keys and didnt know if keeping the buttons lit for this much time would up the chances of burning some on my new one out or if the first one was just a faulty phone. Anyway, all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

odds are it was the phone itself, pretty sure they do testing to ensure key lights work for a long time.

I'm hoping so Mike. I imagine they do a lot of people keep theirs in just their pocket and I'm sure from walking and stuff the key lights go on quite abit.

I've been watching movies regulary since late Sept and I can tell you that I have had no issues with any keys. And as you also stated, even in key lock or device lock, if the Q is pressed while in your pocket the keypad lites up, so I don't think you need to worry too much.
I also press the crap out of my O & P keys from playing PocketNesterPlus violently...LOL... and they still work perfectly.

I was wondering where you got your movies from, or what site do you watch them from??? I downloaded the newest update of the flash thing (latest for youtube) and i was wondering where to watch the movies at. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The movies I put onto my Q and watch are from DVDs. I rip them to my PC and then convert it to either MPG4 or AVI files, about 1GB each.
