Default TCPMP and MP4 Video

I have found some threads that discuss this, but I still need help. I have installed TCPMP, but it won't play mp4 videos. I have found an AAC plugin (aac.smartphone.0.66.exe) along with an installer file and an FAAD plugin, but I don't know how to install them. I have put them in various folders on my Moto Q (including Startup), but when I try to run them I get a screen saying the file is "not a valid Windows CE application." Now, when I try to run an MP4 video, the video plays fine, but there is no sound. I'm sorry to be so helpless, but can anyone help me get this working? Thanks in advance. Jerry

Try using the cab zip instead...

ac3.cabs.0.66.zip

And then the ac3.ARM.CAB file, and install it into your TCPMP folder.

Sorry kinda sleepy, just woke up, but I'm pretty sure thats the one...

I have ac3.cabs.0.66.zip. I have two more questions.

1. Do you know where I can find the ac3.ARM.CAB file?
2. How do I install them?

Thanks

I forget if it was this zip file that I got the AAC plug in instead...
http://www.rarewares.org/files/aac/t...obile.0.66.zip

But whichever does the job for you, you need to extract the files from the Zip folder on your PC, and then only tranfer and install that particular .cab file that will install on your Q... I'm pretty sure it's the aac.ARM.CAB...or that AC3.ARM.CAB

You have Active Sync to your PC? Or a MiniSD card?

Once the CAB file is on your phone, just run it.

Sorry Geronimo...I led you astray a bit....

It's the aac.ARM_SP.CAB, that is the one...I just re-installed it and the aac.ARM.CAB wasn't the one, but rather the aac.ARM_SP.CAB.
Sorry about that,

You might as well install the ac3 plug-in as well

SUCCESS!!! Yes - It was the aac.ARM_SP.CAB that worked. Thanks for your help (and patience).
