We had inhereted a bank slave when the bank bought a new master so of course all the slaves were given away to people who would take care of them.

my son and I got a lot of use out of playing around with it mostly he had the fun.

remind me to tell u about when he locked me out of another pc...that is a good story for parents lol.

I've got the Q9 which comes with Documents to Go. It also has a Memopad, but you cannot sync the memos with outlook. So, I just created a shortcut to Word to Go on my homescreen. I save my notes as text files. They take up very little space and I know no matter what PDA phone I have in the future, my notes will always be accessible and transferable.

Granted, most people are not this anal when it comes to notes, but I keep notes for stuff like medicines and doctors instructions in my phone for one thing.

Microsoft & Motorola agree with you. Window Mobile 6 Standard includes a MSOffice document viewer and editor. Motorola replaced this on the Q9 series with Documents to Go. In fact, I have a feeling Docs to Go is becoming a cross platform standard. Blackberry just added Docs to Go to their devices (not sure for which carrier). You can buy it for Palm and there's a version for Symbian devices. I think you can even use it with some regular cell phones.

So, when you get your next device, you will be able to use Word as a free sync-ible notepad. That's why I use Word to future proof my notes. I can switch devices and still see and edit them.

Informative

That's a very good approach.

I create a task in Extreme Agenda if I have a note I want to sync with my PC. If I make a change to the task on my phone or PC, the next time I plug my phone into the computer, the other device is automatically updated.
