Default Stupid question, but...

I was with my friend this past weekend, and his Treo, when someone would call, would ring, and then say "call from 858-922-1092," or whatever the # was. Is that a Treo specific "ring" that he has, or a software app? And if it's an app- how do I get it/ what does it cost?

I tried searching, but didn't really know what to search for.

Thanks- Paul

I know I've seen one before (can't remember the name). Check in the EQ software store, or through www.handmark.com (that was the last place I saw it)

can create a audio file that says what you want and use that as the ringtone. May not be the ideal solution.

may be something to suggest to the software developers like for photo contacts pro and such

Default Mike250

Thanks for your respond dude, but I should have probably specified- I want a ring that calls out/ "says" whatever # is calling, or the name of the person calling. That was great, though!

I found it. It's called HollerID.
It announces the name of the contact rather than the number.
you can find it here
@rb, yes I was. It was a long weekend...

that's what i thought you meant... here's the thing though, it has like +1700 "common" names in the program itself, so for example it will not "announce" company name.

Default nice...

That's not a bad app, but does anyone know if it will just call out the digits, when your Caller ID doesn't pick it up. I own a few businesses, and get tons of calls from vendors, salespeople, etc. Often, just by knowing the area code, I can decide to answer it or not. So, I'd like it to call out the digits: Call from 972-blah-blah.

Like I said- my friend's Treo did that, and I wasn't sure if that's a Treo function in the "ringer" or not.

Thanks guys for helping me.
