Okay so I like livesearch a lot, but I haven't been able to figure out yet:
When you choose Current GPS location for a search, it has you save it as "GPS Location."
From what I can tell, that has it save only the position at that time, so if you search "GPS Location" again, it'll still only search where you were at that last time you searched.
Is there any way to force it to always default to search around the current GPS location?
Don't have an answer for you, but I used Live Search a lot on vacation last week, and noticed the same thing. Would be nice if the default location was current GPS position. It also goes through the extra step of asking if you would like to save the new position as a different name. Default should be current GPS position, with the second option of using the GPS position last used.
The search is performed from the location shown on the search screen. If you want to search from the current GPS location, you need to save that location before searching. If you are displaying the map and select 'Search near here', then a screen with the name of the location is displayed. Select the default name (Map Location on my phone). It should then ask if it is OK to overwrite the previous saved location. Select OK. Now the current GPS location is saved. When you perform your search, make sure Map Location (or the name of the saved location) is shown as the location for the search.
Just wondering how people are using GPS functions on their Q?
Edit: Nevermind, saw the list of GPS accessories in the store. So if you add a GPS receiver such as this one (http://store.everythingq.com/garmin-...10A69A3567.htm) do you swap it in and out with your normal SD card?
I have the original Q.
