Default Sprite Lite History

Does this look normal? I think it was after I updated to the new version that my scheduled backups show strange times. Even the End time is 2 1/2hrs off. The manual backups show correct elapsed time (around 1min30sec) and the real time/date to confirm. And the Time Elapsed?? It's making me wonder if it's making valid backups. Thanks!

Downloaded the CAB file directly to Q this summer and it has not worked -- ever!! Neither the vendor nor the developer has offered assistance. :s Treefrog, consider yourself lucky that your version is doing something -- ha-ha.

Well heck, that's not good. I think that's the first negative news I've heard about Sprite. Both times I installed was with the PC installer, directly from Sprite. What doesn't yours do?

Treefog > It doesn't do anything...no, it doesn't do nothing :heh-heh: I mean, it's installed and I can navigate thru it; it just does not perform a backup -- get an "unexpected error" notice. WELL!! Of course it's unrxpected as I was expecting it to work. So, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it (both on device and SC) but neither made a difference.

The trial copy worked -- but the paid-for copy just sits there. Had this conversation earlier this year; weren't you part of that? At least past experiences show that when someting has not worked, but been paid for, when you finally get it working, it sure feels good.

I paid the money for the full version of sprite. i had to do a master reset before i could run the program. i lost the activation code somewhere. I tried to contact sprite to get the code again, they told me im out of luck, that they dont keep records of transactions past 10 days or so, and they actually make sure that they dont keep things like activation codes on file (in case of a hacker) and that they appreciate my business...

Well crap...you guys are just flat bummin me out! Did you purchase through EQ? Most of my codes are stored there..as a secondary file.

I bought the lite version and I think its working?? I've restored my email/sms anyway. Hopefully I don't ever need vendor support, sounds like.

Where's that DrQ?

piranah > I really did not need to hear that about Sprite but was beginning to suspect it. 1. unanswered e-mails 2. dead links from software to developer 3. my money down the tubes. 4. your money down the tubes. Really sorry to hear your story, as if you ain't been thru enuff this year!! Man, I even tried making copies of my files (from harddrive to SC in case of failure what with me not having a PC, just the Q) but mostly did not work...saving CAB files is the only way I know right now if you have no other means of backup.

Take care...hope you get up and running soon.
