Sprite Backup 6.0 issues...

Hey all,

Ok, I have Sprite Backup 6.0 on my Q. I can backup the main memory just fine fine on my Q (I have the backup go to the storage card). However, when I try and initiate a backup from the PC, it just sits there at the "waiting to restart device" screen. I know there have been older posts on this, but I wanted to know if anyone had a workaround....

I saw this post in the hellomotoq forum, it seems like it worked for this guy, but his instructions aren't exactly clear ... anyone know what he means? or more specifically, when to do the steps he is mentioning (when to disable the usb, etc)...

"I have recently purchased Sprite Backup as well. I have no problem backing up to my SD card, but backing up to the PC is a different story. Has anyone else had the same problem? When it is working with Active Sync it goes through the soft reset process. The only problem is that it does not reboot. It stays in the recharge mode. You have to manually restart it. Once I do that then the Active Sync is disabled and it does not recognize it. The only way I can get it to work then, is to go into Active Sync's menu, disable the USB connection and then reconnect. Then the Sprite Backup does its work. I hope someone has a fix for that or an easier way around it. It is very cumbersome."
