Default SmartToolKit Question

installed, and it froze.

the only thing I did was remove the hotkey-- but I read on rainmakerrc's google pages, it says to do something about a separator in the gadget or ssomething. how do I do that?

pfQ9c, thanks!

Were you doing anything in particular when it froze?

For the separator, go to Start-->Control Panel-->Gadgets, then highlight the popup launcher, and click on the center key and choose Configuration. Then click Options and click on Separator. Then highlight the separator and click on Options and move it up to the top slot. The only purpose for the separator is to keep a program out of the top slot. When a program is launched from that slot, it may cause lockups.

ok got the separator!
now when I am in PIE (or I suppose any other app?) and I click home, my top bar changes, my bottom bar becomes the STK start bar but everything in between stays PIE. how do I fix this and make it become my homescreen?

You'll need to delete the Taskbar Hotkey for the single home button click to work the way you want. Start --> Control Panel --> scroll to Hotkeys and click. Once in there, scroll down to Taskbar HotKey and center nav key click and choose delete.

Yeah...that is happening to a friend of mine. I have to try to figure that out. I installed it to his Main Memory thinking the storage card was the problem...but ng. Still happening. If you find the cause please share.

I did find that it froze again. I was on my text messaging screen and I pushed home+space - to lock, the start bar came, the top bar left but the middle part stayed the text message screen... it locked and i had to restart... but I could hold down the end button and it... restarted, didn't have to pull out the battery.

You might want to use STK's built-in keyboard lock. It's on the gadget bar in space 4 (or wherever you might move it to). It's just as easy to use (two keypresses) - back key (or back button) then 4 (or whatever number corresponds to the slot on the gadget bar you move the keyboard lock to).

I just downloaded STK and it installed on my phone. Where do I find the screensavers? I don't know where or how to start using it. (Dumb blonde!)

i just uninstalled skt because my im apps wouldnt work....windows messenger....it also froze on me several times as described above....other than that its a killer app that i like and hopefully it will stabilize soon and get the bugs worked out of it....i would gladly pay 10 or 15 dollars for it if it were stable.
