Hey everyone,

I just registered, but I've been roaming the forums here for a month or so since getting my Q. I'm an applications developer, and I've been doing some smartphone apps.

So my question is this: What software could you use on your Q?

An all-in-one game emulator would be pretty sweet. Also, a way to plug in a controller would be out of this world.

Yeah, a dependable threaded text app would be nice.

Also, an sms scheduler would be cool if it had a huge scheduling capacity.

Default So Many Choices
Not knowing what your preferences are, here are a few I'd like in various categories (in no particular order):
  • Find application to search files and PIM data
  • Search Home screen plug-in (with configurable search engine choices)
  • Emerald Hunt for the Smartphone (using the d-pad instead of a stylus)
  • MahJongg
  • Internet tool suite (PING, TraceRoute, DNS lookup, NTP, etc.)
  • Keyboard/button remapper
  • System clock changer/tuner (like Pocket Hack Master)
  • Smartphone benchmark tool
  • Bluetooth sniping tool (needs to support Widcomm/Broadcom stack)
  • Full function copy/paste utility (in all entry fields and Web pages)
  • System database viewer/editor
Some of those may be out there, but I don't know of them (other than MahJongg).

Threaded SMS? By this do you mean like Tab based SMS sorting, where each tab is to/from a different person?

but meaning texting appears to act like an IM converstation
