You might want to try EQO. I know i have posted alot on it but Skype is great for cheap or free phone calls over the internet. Net on Q sucks. Great for web browsing and even downloading files but not for VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol). Eqo allows you to make cheap international phone calls using your voice minutes and it is an all inclusive IM manager. If you wanna chat Skype is cool for the Q but so is AIM, if you wanna talk get EQO

Does anyone know how to adjust the volume while in call? Also how to adjust the volume of the ringer when receiving calls? (Speaker phone, not the headset)

There do not seem to be options for volume control within the program or outside of it.

Did try that, first actually, but that does not seem to help. The ringer seems to be very loud, however in call volume is extremely quiet. I adjusted my profile volume to loud for everything and that also does not make any adjustments to the program.

Ok to answer my own question, n99 you were partially right. You have to push and hold in the scroll wheel until the volume screen appears than adjust accordingly. This is not however program specific, so when you are finished using Skype (in this case) the volume needs to be readjusted back to the preferred setting.

Not the best work around but something is better than nothing.

Default Help on Skype.

After seeing this post, I decided to install the Skype Smartphone app, and try to use it. I have to say that it works fairly well. I'd love to know who else is using the mobile app (Smartphone), so that we can bounce questions off of each other. It's pretty bad ass- with Skype, I can talk "Skype to Skype" aka PC to PC for free to my family in El Salvador, Mexico, and Ecuador (in addition to my family in San Diego, too).

With the mobile app- it makes a "call" from "Skype to Skype" essentially. So, yesterday, I was talking overseas on my Q, and since it uses the "data" portion of my plan (which I have unlimited), it was "free". The app does drain battery hard, but being able to speak to family/ friends overseas for "free" is pretty rad.

Anyone else use Skype, or more specifically, Skype mobile?
