Default Seven Systems direct push email

I just wanted to say that if there are any of you that aren't happy with their direct push client that they are using, you should really go to www.seven.com and download the beta. It DOES NOT use text messages like a lot of direct push clients do.

It has presets for all of the major email accounts such as AOL, Yahoo, Gmail, and easy setup for OWA accounts. I set up all 4 of my email accounts in less than 2 minutes.

The emails will hit my inbox on my phone at the same time they hit my inbox on the desktop. I really don't have anything bad to say about the program whatsoever.

Everyone should give this a try. On their website, click on products at the top, then consumers on the left, then beta program.

The beta is free. There are different versions tailored for different phones. When installing for the Q9 you have to use the generic Windows Mobile 6 standard installation. For those with WM5, there is an option for that as well. I actually think there might be a setup for a Moto Q, but don't quote me on that. Anyways, the install instructions on the website are great so no one should have any problems with it.

The program also loads new homescreens onto your phone. They are duplicates of the original homescreens that the phone comes with, but they have the Seven icons built in across the screen. I kind of like it cause it shows the status of each account you have setup. For instance, my school email password expired and it put a comment under the icon for my school email that i had an expired password.

If you don't like the Seven icons on the homescreen, you can change it to an original homescreen and it still works (its always running in the background, unless you kill it with TM).

I never tried it a whole day...so...I cant comment on battery life and such?...

But...for the short period of time I used it it work great...

I agree with steindogg99 about the icons on the homescreen....

Could anyone comment about the battery life with this program please?...

yeah i thought i posted a thread about this a couple weeks ago+ and i have been using it for sometime....check that thread out, i think it was on here, cuz some e-mail is instant and some e-mail it checks every 5 minutes simply like the built in outlook could do, it depends on the e-mail service....

guess i didn't post it in software...sometimes i am stupid like that

i have not noticed any difference in battery life whatsoever and i leave it on all the time. it does give you the option of setting times for when you want it to push and when not to. i havemine push all day but someone could set it up to only push between 9 and 5.

I tried it, but couldn't stand it running all the time. Good app, but I found no use for push email. Gmail IMAP works fine for me
