Default Rivia Gentimer??

I recently purchased this software for my Sprint Moto Q because the standard alarm is just terrible. I use my phone as my alarm clock to get up in the morning.

I am having a problem with this alarm software. If I have a missed call prior to the alarm going off, it will not go off at all. This is disturbing because if I have my alarm set to get up in the morning and I get a call in the middle of the night, it won't go off.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem or know of an alarm program that doesn't have this bug??? I feel like I wasted $12.95 for no reason!!

When I don't use the built-in alarm, I use a task with a reminder time. That works well.

P.S. Have you reported the issue to Rivia?

I did report it to them and i am waiting for a response. I am a little confused because I just did a test on it and it worked this time with a missed call. I tested it last night twice to make sure I wasnt' crazy and it didn't work. Now, it seems to be working.

I'm going to test it 10 more times just to be sure but I will keep you posted.

Default Gentimer Problems

I've noticed several problems with Gentimer 2.0.
  • It often crashes when my Q reboots (to run Sprite Backup, for example).
  • If you snooze an alarm, then reboot, the alarm seems to get lost.
  • The World Clock doesn't seem to take Daylight Saving Time into account. For example, Phoenix is now shown one hour ahead of San Francisco even though Arizona doesn't switch to DST, so the times should be identical.
  • The DigitalBlue skin doesn't have any place to display the alarm text (it would be my skin of choice except for that).
  • You can't change the alarm cadence at all (I suggested to the developer how to do that back when I had Gentimer 1.0, but it didn't get done).
I like the program, but it definitely needs some work.

Clicking that link says "No matches". I'm not sure that vBulletin supports linking to search results (they may be tied to your session).

Steve
as a new Q owner... im narrowed it down to gentimer, city, and ptravel... i like ptravel's "sleep" function and it can alarm to mp3's on the sd card. but then gentimer has the "gentle" and "sleepyhead" alarm settings (thats me so much that i laughed when i read that feature description). i havent installed city trial yet... from what i read...city doesnt seem as "advanced" as the other 2 mentioned.

pros please chime in on your experiences and your choice for Top Alarm, because the windows alarm is SO bad, a 3rd party app is a "must have".
