Right Menu Trial Does Not Stay "Installed" - Motorola Q Forum

So maybe I am behind the times...just downloaded a trial of Right Menu and although it appears to be a good program and has possibilities it won't stay "installed" for want of a better word. I mean it's installed; I can edit it to my needs; soft reset to save it, right?

Then sometime later it's not there...have to go and re-click the .exe file. Is this a trait of the trial (if it's paid for will it quit?) or perhaps a defective DL? Has this happened to you? Just want it to keep my utilities at hand...uh, finger!!

I've got to laugh at this...been aggrevating me all day.

in the options menu make sure the 'use' button is checked as well as 'auto start'
this should allow it to always run

There's a free alternative, the samsung launcher, I won't post anymore about it since I'm not sure about the legalities, just remember seeing it floating around somewhere.

Hockey? Input?

@n99hockey...yes, the "auto run" was not checked, but I had fixed that prior to reading your post; however I discovered that using Task Manager to close all running programs was the culprit. It deleted my shortcut; re-entered all info; applied TM...GONE. Did it two times in a row. But now I know that. So...I can use the Task Manager and just leave Right Menu running (can hear you saying it doesn't make any dif!)
and everything should be ok...'cept I'm having to compensate for a ten dollar app! And that's not good!

If it never happens again I'll be happy, but if it does happen again at least I know now how to fix it...and if this is the worst thing wrong with my Q (which it is!) then I'm still happy...and I thank you for helping.

And this morning's off to a roaring start...

yes if you do kill it in task manager it will stop running
BUT!
if you have auto start checked and then kill it in task manager it will turn back on if you hit the soft key you mapped it to
i kill mine all the time
then i hit the soft key (wait like 2-5 seconds) and it comes right back up
so as longas you have 'auto-start' check you are golden

Yes, yes it does. Just tried it...THEN read your post. Your advice was "spot on" and everything is fine. Now ...where's that ten dollars?
