Default Restore Voice Recognition?

I installed Voice Command 1.6 to try it out instead of the built-in Voice Recognition software. It replaced the Voice Recognition button and functions. If I uninstall Voice Command, Voice Recognition no longer works. Is it possible to restore the Voice Recognition software somehow without doing a Master Reset? Thanks.

I have the SAME issue with my Q

I doubt that the original software is deleted, it's just that the button and link are not properly reassigned after uninstalling Microsoft Voice Command.

Anyone have any feedback? Perhaps a location on the Q that contains the original voice command files? Then I could play around and see what I can come up with....

Thanks,

Matt!

here is one thread about it. the program is most likely not deleted/over-written as it resides in the ROM.

AHA!!!

Fixed! Ok, I noticed that when I would 'unhide' system files in the /windows folder, the voicesignal.exe icon from the uninstalled Microsoft Voice Command software was still there... A little more research taught me that, you need to delete the above .exe file, then reboot, and you are as good as gold!

BTW, look into the settings of the default voice regoc. program. I was floored at how detailed it can get -- it does 95% of the stuff that Microsoft's verison does.

It's way quicker to say "open live search" than it is to scroll through the start menu...awesome!!!

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Matt!

Thanks for the information. I actually did the MOL4 update for Sprint, which fixed that problem...but its nice to know how to fix it in case it happens in the future.
