Use File manager to go into Windows then start menu. It might not let you delete some, but you can always move those somewhere else. It won't remove the programs, but you won't have to look at them all the time.

most of those default programs are stored in the ROM so you will not gain space.. as daisy said you can move or remove the links in the Start Menu if they bother you..

Yeah, the service providers have some kind of proprietary setup with these companies. The one I want to get rid of is hidden in my start menu. I have to do it on Activesync sometime when I yhink of it. You do that by going into folder options in explore and select show hidden files.

If you use Resco Explorer, and if I am not mistaken, you should be able to tell it to show HIDDEN/SYSTEM files. Once those are there, and you try to delete them, It will tell you blah blah blah... just hit ok, yes or whatever through all these prompts and that should work...

The regular file explorer WILL NOT let you delete these files, but Resco Will.

You can d/l a free trial of Resco and purchase it here on EQ...

On a side note, I created a BACKUP folder and in that folder, I copied my Start Menu to it. I did this in case I delete something that I need, I can always go back and copy it back...

Remember, ALWAYS BACKUP before deleting things...

Well, at least Resco WILL give you a warning first... and, if you back it up like I suggest, you should be good as gold.

Yeah, it took me a while to get up the nerve to use a registry editor. Was too afraid I would mess up my Q but after a while there were certain hacks I wanted to try so I took the plunge. I use PHM Registry Editor though, I found that much easier to understand than the other 2.
