If you search on here for posts by me you will see I said 100% the exact same thing on VITO Audio notes. Their site was deceptive to the fact it did not work on the Q at one point, and they would not refund my purchase. I only bought their program for the phone call recording.

Anyhow in 2006 I posted a very similar thing and warning. Sorry you didn't find it before wasting the time.

I was reading your above post. Conversations recored like that are not valid in court unless you tell the person your doing it, right? And is it still valid even if you do that?

http://www.pimall.com/nais/n.recordlaw.html
"The federal law makes it unlawful to record telephone conversations except in one party consent cases which permit one party consent recording by state law. What that means is a person can record their own telephone conversations without the knowledge or consent of the other party in those states that allow one party consent."

So as long as you know you're recording the conversation you're legal in 38 states.

That's good to know. I wonder if Maryland is one of those states.

Well it wouldn't matter if you're a Q owner anyway. I am annoyed w/ the same problem - no call record function. I am a writer w/ a crappy memory and do a great deal of my work over the phone. Maybe I'll duct tape one of those little digital recording keychain devices to my Q and put it on speakerphone... won't somebody save us!
