Default Question about Papyrus.

I was wondering if Papyrus would let me do something like this. I have a meeting every 2nd Wed. of the month. Would I be able to set a recurring appointment like that?

In the default calendar that comes with Windows Mobile this isn't possible. I have to set one for every Wednesday and then go in each month and delete all but the one that I want.

I was just gonna say Extreme does, in fact it'll do every 2nd wednesday of every 3rd month, skipping full moons and holidays!!

Thanks for the input folks. I just took a look at Extreme Agenda. It looks like it might be overkill for what I need. I'm not a super power user (although I like to tweak stuff), and so far really the calendar has been the only thing I've found lacking for me.

Papyrus has an awesome custom reccurance feature. That's actually why I bought it.

Yes...Papyrus will do that for you and do it very well. AE was a bit much for me, too. That, Facade, FizzWeather and a deep space image from NASA make a nice homescreen...

Default I was wondering the same thing

I've just started using my calendar and found the default calendar somewhat lacking. I saw Papyrus' link and checked it out (actually dled the trial, but haven't loaded it yet). I'll check out the extreme agenda prog as well.

However, I wanted to poll experienced calendar program users and find out what you know about other options or cool things you do with your calendar to enhance your productivity (ever check out 43folders.com? I've just heard about it and am trying to get a good system together...)

Some of the things I find lacking/want to be able to do:
-adjust the recurrence of events pretty granularly daisyd talked about. (biweekly, yearly)
-knows the Official "holidates"
-can have separate views (Password protection even?) ie business/personal
-have edittable fields, adjustable priority/page layout.

It should be noted that I currently don't have a data plan (but plan on it eventually) and don't use anything on my desktop pc (though I have toyed with Outlook or Thunderbird). I will be using outlook at my new job, and want to get that accts contacts/schedule/email synced up as well some personal webmail based accts.

Is there an all-in-one, relatively cheap, well designed piece of software I could get for this purpose?

PS- This is a Q9M model I'm using, but I'm hoping Q users will have compatible software to recommend!

Don't forget Agenda One as the third Alternative. When I got my first Q, it was suggested to DL the trial versions of all three and give them a run as everyone has different tastes. They are all outstanding additions to the Q and make it a real PDA. IMHO

DrQ is correct since you can try all 3 for free I would do that because it depends on your personal taste. I prefer Papyrus and it suits my needs just fine but you might find it lacking into fitting into your day-to-day lifestyle. Give them all a whirl.

I have only tried Papyrus. You can filter events for business, personal, or any file you create. It doesn't have the holidays pre-programed, but the custom reccurance feature I talked about allows really specific changes like the fourth Thursday in November every year. If I knew how they come up with Easter I might be able to put that in too. You can assign colors and icons to any category. There are numerous configurations of several views. I'm sure I haven't played with it enough to know all it does yet. Good luck on your search.
