Pocketnester - NES Games - Need help

I am growing increasingly frustrated with trying to run NES games on my Q. I've followed steps from other threads to download and install Pocketnester and a couple of roms. After setup to change screen to landscape, assigning controller keys, etc., I can launch a game - Space Invaders for example. The game appears to start, but I have no sound and no control over anything. It's as if it is in Demo mode. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Pocketnester but still no luck. Surely someone out there has had a similar experience and been able to rectify. I would appreciate any help.

I don't know if this matters, but I've placed Pocketnester and the games on my storage card, not directly on my Q.

mine is on my storage card too and I dont have that problem. For most games you have to press "start" to start the game, when I first started I found myself desperatly pressing "A" which does nothing, then the demo starts very quickly so it seems like you just go to demo mode. Then when you press "start" in demo mode it doesnt start the game, just takes you back to the main screen. Which just adds to the confusion. Since very few nintendo games actually started with music (space invaders has no sound till you start the game) it sounds like that may be your problem. So all I can reccomend is pressing start quickly before the demo kicks in
