Exclamation Pocket MSN vs. Windows Live

What is the difference between the two? I logged into Pocket MSN messenger and it looks like windows Live. Just want to know if there is a difference! Thanks.

"Your favorite MSN features are never further away than your Windows Mobile smartphone thanks to Pocket MSN. Single sign-on access from the Pocket MSN application takes you to your favorite MSN services such as Windows Live Hotmail, Messenger, and mobile Web content. You can even follow the markets through MSN sites like MSN Money.

Windows Live Hotmail gives you:
  • Easy-to-read e-mail formatted to be read on your device
  • The ability to have alerts sent to your device so you know when e-mail has arrived
Windows Live Messenger lets you:
  • Send instant messages or join group chats
  • Set status (online, offline, and mobile) and see the presence of friends and colleagues"

Can't I send and receive IMs from pocket MSN Messanger? When I signed onto Pocket MSN Messanger, it almost looked the same. I have been having problems installing programs so if I didn't have to load windows live because I had the messenger on msn, then I wouldn't. I don't have a hotmail account, but I do use the messenger. So do you think I need to install windows live? I knowe the features are good on live because of searching and then mapping everything. So my question is is it necessary to install windows live? Thanks.
