Default Papyrus experts, may I pick your brain?

I'd like to know if 2 things are available in Papyrus. First, how can I purge all old tasks and appointments without doing it manually one by one and, secondly - is there a way to post a "follow up" appointment a few days after the original appointment ie. Sat. 10/7 Sally to submit enhanced shipment report to Regional. Could I then place a task or appointment on, say, 10/9 automatically to follow up with Sally? Thanks in advance.

update: I'd like to know how to do these things using the Q only. Therefore saving the people typing their ActivSync answers their time. Thanks.

I don't believe Papyrus has a "purge all" feature. Regarding your second question, you can handle that a few ways, but the most efficient might be to create a "custom recurrence" on your appointment. For example, when creating the 10/7 appointment with Sally, you can specify the appointment to occur again on 10/9 to remind you to follow up.

The way I handle follow ups is just to change the current date of the task/appointment to the date I want to follow up. Then in the subject line, I just add this: "fu:"

I find this is the simplest way to move an item forward on my PDA. Plus, by leaving all the rest of the written info/data the same, and just adding the "fu:" tag at the beginning of the subject line, I then have all the relevant info at hand when the item pops back up into my life in the future.

And yes, you're right that the simplest way to delete old tasks and appointments is just to configure Activesync to sync items that are only X number of days/weeks/months old.

thegasguru is correct in that you can just move the appointment--that's the way I usually do them too. I was under the implression Baba John wanted to schedule both the appointment and the follow up to have both on the calendar. As I mentioned, there is more than one way to handle this. You will probably discover your favorite way afeter using the software for a while.

Thanks for the info, those tips are working just fine for me now... I'm sure Amit will add an option to schedule a follow-up in the next version.
