 |  Outlook contacts sub folders ... How-TO: I am using Outlook 2003. Currently, ONLY contacts listed in the MAIN folder come over to my MotoQ. I have lots of sub folders as well. In fact, I do not keep any contacts at all in the 'main' folder. When I sync my Moto with my PC, any/all contacts inside of the Q get 'dumped' into the main folder of my PC's Outlook 2k3. I want to create a sub-folder in Outlook 2003 called MotoQ ... inside of this folder, I would like to have any/all contacts for my phone kept. I would like ONLY this folder to move to the phone and/or sync back up with the Q and the software. Any ideas? |

   | Outlook/Active Sync will only sync the main contact list. i had the same thought and researched but it's just not possible (that i know of)..

| Outlook sync Ok ... thanks for your time ... I 'guess' I'll just make the main Outlook folder my 'phones' folder' ... anything in a sub-folder will be 'just for my PC' ... I'll have duplicate entires in some cases, but at least it is a work around for now. Peace. |

The best way is like you said. Thats what I do. Keep sub catagories, then copy them over to the main folder. One suggestion, make an unfiled folder as well and create the new contact in there. Then copy it to both locations otherwise you may get confused when creating new contacts. Also make a note to always update contacts in one location and then copy them. This probably should be done in the main folder since this is what is copied to on the phone. It can get ugly real fast.
