The best way is like you said. Thats what I do. Keep sub catagories, then copy them over to the main folder. One suggestion, make an unfiled folder as well and create the new contact in there. Then copy it to both locations otherwise you may get confused when creating new contacts. Also make a note to always update contacts in one location and then copy them. This probably should be done in the main folder since this is what is copied to on the phone. It can get ugly real fast.
