Default Opera + TCPMP + Flash = Working!

Well I think I have about finished configuring all these programs to work right.

I have posted about it on my webpage along with links to all the software! Opera now opens up all streaming media and flash with the correct programs. I have not tested the embedded flash stuff really, feel free to give me feedback. The trick is editing the opera.ini file. I have more info on my website:

Enjoy!

Wait .. no no .. you pull the opera.ini file off your phone out of \Application Data\Opera\opera.ini .. open it in a text editor and replace the [File Types] sections with the various stuff I detail on my website ( http://www.djtachyon.com ) .. make sure the pathnames I list there match where you have TCPMP and Flash installed.

Then copy the opera.ini back and overwrite the old one ..

You are simply editing the opera.ini file, nothing more.

Default Streaming

I followed the instructions on your website, but I am not sure if it is working correctly. I tried to listen to some radio streams. I use www.thestreamcenter.com/pda to get the URL's of the radio stream. Some stations require a flash player to listen (eg Stream The World). I could not make this work. I tried different settings for the opera browser, but no success. They also have an option where you can listen to these streams with mp3. That does not work in TCPMP. I found some other stations that use mp3 do not work either. This seems to occur when the PLS file has more than one URL in it. I am still trying to verify this. I also tried to listen to the stream directly from the website of the station. Same result. Am I doing something wrong. Do you have some sample URLs for me to test my installation?

Hmm .. seems like i have trouble with some streams but not others .. This may take some testing.

As far as testing flash animations, i swiped a weebls stuff video to try on mine:
http://www.djtachyon.com/index.php?o...d=32&Itemid=46

I'll post some different types of streams and playlists for us to try at some point. I am going out of town soon though, so I will be AWOL for awhile.
