Cool, I've been waiting for a new Opera beta. Wheres the change log? Does anyone notice any improvements over the last beta?

Thanks for the earlier advice on downloading and installing Opera. How should I set it as the default? Thanks!

A dialog screen should come up, before opening your first page on Opera.

If not...

Open Opera > Settings > Misc. > check box on "Set Opera as default broswer" > OK > Close > Menu > Exit > Re-open Opera...

Ahh... there's your problem. You downloaded the Pocket PC version. The version you want is opera_wm5_sp_865b.cab. You will notice that a good amount of software for the Q will have either ppc (Pocket PC) or sp (Smartphone) somewhere in the file name. You generally want to stay away from ppc as it may have compatibility issues.

In fact it does crash quite often for me. Maybe my brand new phone is a lemon...

ARGH, you jinxed me! In fact, it crashed on me twice yesterday, while downloading a lot of pics on a single page. It doesn't seem to crash on me, when I'm on a website with less pics. :o

Yeah, this browser is great if the page doesn't have much content, but if you stumble unknowingly across such a page, you're screwed. I would have this as my default browser but it's just too unstable. Downloading any file over 250K seems to freeze my phone. I HATE having to take out the battery to get the phone to recover from the crashes this browser causes. In fact, I think I'm going to go start a thread about restarting...

Ok, I've been getting sick of the program locking up the phone - I'm going back to IE, in the meantime...
