Default Opera Mini

In the latest PC Magazine it mentioned that the newly released version of Opera Mini was free. However I downloaded it a few days ago and it looks like it is only free for a little while, and will need a registration code soon to keep it.

It's waaaay better than IE, so I'd like to keep it. Is there a free version out there or a way you guys are getting it for free? Or for that matter, there is all kinds of Q software out there, are you guys all paying for it? The phone was cheap but the accessories are already adding up fast, and at 80 bucks just for agile messenger and PDAnet alone the software could add up SUPER fast, as there is much more than just those out there that looks good.

You probably downloaded Opera Mobile, which isn't free, not Opera Mini.

Opera Mini is a java app which the Q doesn't support natively.

Do a search on Opera Mini, there might have been people able to get it working, but I don't think it's straightforward at all and you need to get other software to run java.

As lexluthor mentioned, Opera Mini requires a JVM to run. I use it with IBM's J9 Java environment. It works pretty well, but you have to use the basic version. The advanced version locks up my device.
