one way sync from PC to Q

I have a lot of personal appts in my Q and I dont want them on my Outlook (public) calendar here at work. ActiveSync (v4.5 on pc) doesnt allow me to do just a one way sync, so here my trip to the proctologist (along with his phone number is showing up on my work calendar)... Ok, Im exaggerating, but you see the point. How do I set up a one way sync. I am also 100% sure I was able to do this before ... there were some rules - but
--Tools-->Options-->
...only shows the category lists I can sync, and when I highlight calendar and hit settings it says "only sync the last <dropdown - 2 weeks, 1 month, etc>. yet no matter wtf I pick it still sync the last 2 years of my calendar from my Q to my work PC outlook instance. Any help here?
