Default Newer Internet Explorer

I am a new owner of the Q. I have been using IE on my phone. Sometimes a get an error message regarding the older version of IE on my phone, I think it is version 4. Can I get a newer version, and if so where do I need to point by browser on the Q.
TIA

My provider is Alltel and I don't think their phones are java enabled. Can the Q, even on Alltel BREW enabled phones, use a java based software?

Yeah it's doable. There is a Java midlet method to running opera on Windows Mobile Smartphone. BREW is not at issue here.

The free Opera Mini is though......So they would need the JBED mdlet manager. G-funkster has a great thread about JBED and Opera Mini on this forum somewhere...search wil pull it up.
