i have to alltel Q got it last september. i deleted it and then instaled it again and the message is gone but now the same problem where it sends to my number and the people dont get it

still not sure why it would do that
it uses the standard phone text messaging app to send messages

does it do this when you dont use the program?

no my normal texts are fine just with the program

I had this same problem with my Q9c. Within Extreme Text it would show that it sent it to the contact. When I went to my built in text messaging, looked in the sent folder and many of the texts that I sent would show my phone number as the recipient. It doesn’t happen every time, but randomly. This makes it very inconvenient when having a conversation and the person cannot get every message.

I have pretty much abandoned Extreme Text for the native messaging, especially with the promise of threaded text with the mobile 6.1 update.

Try installing again. Did you possibly change where you installed it from before (SD card instead of device). The shortcuts will still be pointing to the original location.... That isnt XT saying an error, it is Windows Mobile saying that is has no idea where Extreme Text is installed. Hope this helps...

I still can not recreate the "own number" thing to debug it. hopefully when I work on the next update I can re-address looking at it...

Anyone have problems getting the ? mark to come up.... it seems lately no matter what I push caps or alt or whatever it comes up 0 not ?

but then like later it will work jus fine

i had this problem the other day out of no where
i cant remember if a reboot or just exiting the program fixed it but it was gone and hasnt happened since
