Default need help with TCPMP

I just dled, and unzipped and copied over tcpmp.smartphone.0.72RC1.exe to my Q9m. When I tried to install, I get an error message of: "'tcpmp.smartphone.0.72RC1.exe' is not a valid Windows CE Application"

I'll do some searching tomorrow, but was hoping some night owls would have an answer for my by the morning! I know, I'm being lazy, but it's time for bed, and I hope one of you experienced folks can help me easily.

Download and install the .cab file...
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/t...ne.0.72RC1.cab

That should work properly...

Thanks! It did install, but right before closing the install had an warning message that "this sware was designed for a previous version of WM and may not display properly"...

It's also not finding the 2 video files I brought over earlier, but thats probably due to my bringing them over via WMP sync... I'll try and reedit this post later to let you know if I need further assistance!

Yeah, it was able to play my mp3 audio files on the storage card right away, but now I'm converting my movie using the pocket divx to try and see if that works. (WMV files won't play, can't be found, due to WMP11 sync process/conversion.)

I thought I would be able to play .avi files natively, but using the activesync file explorer, I wasn't able to drag, cut & paste, or copy my original avi file from the pc to my storage card (or anywhere else on the q9m for that matter.) **EDIT - oh yeah, have to open the folder to the right pane of explorer before I can copy**
I'm gonna see what happens after I convert it, and let y'all know... BTW- those new to pocketdivx... I had a hard time trying to get the output dimensions right even before encoding, until I saw a tip in another thread that said to select the PDA option when starting pocketdivx... seems to have worked like a charm, at least the screen size listed was the proper 320x240.

next up on my experiment list, getting supermariobros to play (with working controls) using pocketnesterplus... see other thread if you have some ideas on that...

TCMP will play divx files. You need to install the codecs for it. I have had 700 meg avi files on my Q and they play flawlessly. I am at work on th Q so finding that link for the codecs is kinda tough but do a search here in the forums for codecs. Good luck.

The AVI files does play natively on TCPMP, no extra codecs needed.
Q9MNewb originally was looking for which TCPMP install file he needed, and then eventually was able to install and get the AVI files to play AFAIK.

MPG4 files are the one that needs the AAC codec plug-in. You might have gotten those two mixed up.
