Default Need Help

I have had for my Q for a few months but have never really figured much out on it. Tonight I finally got ring tones added.

Is there is a program that will allow people to hear a song instead of ringing when they call my phone??

Thanks

Maria

No I don't think so as that comes from your carrier.

My suggestion if you want call tones is to use www.grandcentral.com. Then you can have the user hear something other than an standard ring.

Of course, you'll have to give out your new grandcentral number rather than your current number, and it won't be free always.

Sprint did call tones, not sure if they wrked for the Q. Did have a member with one(not by choice) that took an act of congress to get removed.

The Sprint Q does not enable call tones. I had an A900 before my Q and when they transferred my number over to the Q my call tones came with it. And it took quite a few phone calls to get a Sprint tech to remove them. I had installed them via the content manager but you can't remove them from the Q yourself. Nor can you add them via the content manager either.

I know what you mean! I hate calling people who have call tones. I don't want to listen to their version of good music. I have heard everything from elevator music to rap! To my mind it's just not professional either. For those people who use their cell phones exclusively, do you really want your boss listening some of the crap out there while waiting for you to answer?!

I thought call tones had to be longer than 30 seconds?

They can be fun for specific people, but I would never have a general call tone (because my personal cell=my work cell)
